John Leslie Hyatt's Obituary
John Leslie Hyatt age 67, passed quietly in his sleep in his residence in Tucson, AZ on Sunday, January 30, 2022, of Cardiac Disease.
John was the beloved son of Floyd Arthur and Helen Madeline Hyatt, and dear sibling of Floyd Allen, Christine, and William Hyatt.
John was a happy, outgoing, and social gay person, born in Tucson. He was a Cub Scout in his early years. Around 1960 his family moved to Detroit, Mich. In 1972 he graduated from Wylie E. Groves High School in Birmingham, Michigan where he loved being on the stage, singing and acting. Shortly, after High School he decided to travel to San Francisco, CA, to seek out new friends and opportunities. Eventually "J" came back to Arizona, to help care for his grandmother in Fountain Hills. Then later he moved to Tucson where he briefly attended University of Arizona College of Nursing. He also spent a year or so in Boise, Montana. He was employed in various jobs in Sales Merchandising, Cooking, Waitperson, Bartending, and as a Registered Nursing Assistant. Sadly, his long steady use of tobacco, drugs and alcohol caused him serious health issues.
John's door was always open to his friends and family, and willing to lend a hand whenever he could. His friendly and warm nature is deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
At the time of John's death, he was survived by his mother, his sister, his nephews, and nieces; Aaron, Justin, Lana, Heather and great-nieces Sophia and Oliva.
