John Christopher Roman's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Christopher Roman, who left us on Wednesday, August 7th, at the age of fifty-eight. Born to Judith Ann Taylor and Louis Roman Jr. in Hackensack, New Jersey, John grew up in his grandmother's house in Teaneck and graduated from Teaneck High School in the class of 1983. He furthered his education at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business and finance. John recently earned his certificate in culinary arts from the Caridad Community Kitchen this past May. Cooking brought him joy, and he found great satisfaction in creating meals for others.
John was a complex and unique individual, full of depth and character. A dear friend once said, “Life is about the smiles you create in others. I have a lot of smiles due to John.” He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, and his beloved nephew, who held a special place in John's heart and was the recipient of his constant love and affection. The family requests that donations be made to the Caridad Community Kitchen and the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona in John's memory, supporting a cause close to his heart.
