Jon was a good friend and a very good man. We met in high school biology class and did a lot of growing up and fun stuff back then. A good desert party, backpacking trips, concerts (including The WHO, The Boss, Kinks and many more). He made a piont of calling us on our anniversary every year, my wife was in that same biology class, believe it or not, and was also a good friend of Jon. Jon and I came very close to what would have likely been a fatal car accident almost 30 years ago and I don't know if he ever shared that with anyone or not. So in some ways these were bonus years. Seeing Joy and meeting his children yesterday made me realize what a wonderful bonus it has been. If you want to do something in memory of Jon I would say be happy and be nice. We will always remember you with a smile. See you down the road Jon.
