Joseph Brady's Obituary
Joseph was born the middle child of William and Edna Brady in Bisbee, Arizona and is preceded in death by his parents. Joe was raised in Bisbee (Warren) and graduated from Bisbee High School where he met his loving wife Lynda. After graduating from high school, he attended Cochise College and eventually moved to Tucson to pursue higher education at the University of Arizona where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and then later earned his Master's Degree in Secondary Education. Joe was a science teacher at Marana High School. He also served as the head track and field coach and established the cross country program at Marana High School. He taught and coached at Marana for 37 years and his dedication was honored by being inducted into the Arizona High School Track and Cross Country Coaches Hall of Fame. He was a member of the American Chemical Society, the AIA coaches association and a USATF certified official. After retiring from teaching and coaching, Joe continued to dedicate his time by officiating numerous track and cross country meets throughout Arizona. Joe was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, coach and teacher. He was an avid outdoorsman who passed his love of the outdoors, gifts of intellect, craftsmanship and problem solving to his children and grandchildren. He was a proud man, who could do anything he put his mind to and did things his way. He had a positive, profound impact on countless children and co-workers alike over his almost four decades of teaching and coaching. Joe is survived by his wife Lynda, sons Matthew (Lisa, Mason, Paige) and James (Jamie, Ethan, Parker) and his brothers Bill and David. Joe is loved and respected and will be missed deeply in his absence. Visitation Wednesday, July 24, 2013, 7:00 9:00 PM at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile. Services Thursday, 10:30 AM, at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung Association and the American Heart Association in his honor.
