Juanita "Pete" Jump's Obituary
Pete was born in Oakland Mills, Iowa in 1921. She graduated valedictorian of her high school class. Immediately she joined the Army where she became a registered nurse as a First Lieutenant. While deployed overseas during WWII, she met her future husband. Together they built three subdivisions and operated a small ranch in Colorado. Her nursing skills saved many critters. Early in her marriage, she operated an at-home day care for working moms. Pete was blessed with two green thumbs and grew many beautiful and bountiful gardens. Her canning and family meals were delicious. As a seamstress, she made all of the dance costumes for her children, sewed their school clothes, and made curtains and bedspreads. She was an extremely hard worker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Jump and her son, Bill E. Jump. She is survived by her daughter, Ja Ki Sungail. She has two grandsons: Sage A. Sungail and David Jump. Her two great grandchildren are Sage Y. Sungail and Hana S. Sungail.
