Juanita Penn's Obituary
Juanita Penn, 93, died July 15, 2016, at the Loving Heart Care Home in Tucson, Arizona, with friends and family by her side.
Juanita was born May 19, 1923 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Maude and Abe Adolph Whitecotton. She moved from El Segundo, California with her husband, Lyle Wesley Penn, to Tucson, Arizona in 1956.
Juanita’s interests included family, friends, painting, sewing, mall walking, water aerobics, reading and travelling. She was a member of the Cactus Wrens, University of Arizona Home Extension Service, for over 40 years serving Tucson residents with informative and educational programs. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to her husband, Lyle W. Penn, until he passed away at age 72. Juanita is remembered for her sense of humour and kindness.
Juanita Penn is survived by her two daughters, Beverly Kelso and Elaine Wallet; Beverly Kelso’s three daughters and their children; her sisters, Geneva Ray and Betty Higgins; and her brother Arthur Whitecotton.
