June quietly departed this life Thursday, September 26, 2019 in Tucson, Arizona
She made her 86 years look easy. June was a fighter until she was called to heaven.
June was born on June 30, 1933 at home in Madison Place, Cincinnati, Ohio
The only daughter of Anthony and Margaret Meineke
Married to William F. Carper on July 16, 1955 in Lebanon, Ohio
June retired from Kitt Peak National Observatory. She loved working up on the mountain, and never stopped talking about how she had gotten to meet Alan Shepard.
As a devout Catholic, the Church was a great source of comfort to her throughout her life.
Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Claudia Caper, Teresa Watson (Daniel), William A. Carper (Virginia), Linda Counts (Stephen) & Bruce Carper (Yvonne)
Grandchildren: Steven Carper son of Claudia, Kevin Carper son & Brittany Watson daughter of Teresa, Lindsey (Dilts) Kaericher & Kristina (Counts) Cope daughters of Linda, Brandon Carper & Michael Robinson sons of Bruce, and Lisa (Carper) Estrada daughter & Enrique Hernandez son of William (Billy)
Great Grandchildren: Emily & Tyler, Aiden & Emma, Santiago, and Grace, Natalie & Kaden
Predeceased by: Husband William F. Carper, her parents Anthony & Margaret Meineke, her brothers Ronald, Raymond & Ralph
Survived by her brothers Anthony & Kenneth Meineke
Services will be held Friday October 18th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
