Karen Snyder's Obituary
On Sunday, September 2, 2018, Karen Irene Snyder, loving mother of two children, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 65.
Karen was born November 8, 1952 in Danville, IL to William and Winifred (Smith) Trimmell. As a child, Karen lived in California before moving to Arizona. She attended Westwood High School in Mesa, AZ and Glendale High School in Glendale, AZ. Karen worked as a special education assistant at Pueblo High School and Myers Ganoung Elementary School in Tucson, AZ in the 1990s. Most recently, she worked as a caregiver at an assisted living home in Tucson, AZ and volunteered her time to care for sick or elderly friends and family members.
Karen enjoyed reading, coloring, and going to bible study groups. She loved Eegee’s (especially watermelon!), handbags, and collecting antique red glass and Precious Moments figurines. Most of all, Karen enjoyed helping others and was always there when friends or family needed help.
Karen was preceded in death by her dearly loved daughter, Sarah Hummer, mother Winifred Smith, father William Trimmell, sister Sharon Crandall, and brother Jon Foremny.
She leaves behind her beloved son, Andy Hummer (Nejlah), sister Teresa Tschupp (Chris), brother Bruce Foremny, brother Patrick Foremny, brother Joseph Foremny, and brother Monty (Sharon) Trimmell.
