Katherine Marie Lange (nee Smith)

Katherine Marie Lange, of Tucson, AZ passed away March 4, 2017. She was 89.
She was born October 19, 1927 to John and Birdie Amos Smith in Cherokee County, Kansas. She and her husband Clarence and young daughter Debora moved to Tucson in 1958, where she continued as a stay-at-home wife and mother.
Katherine Marie is survived by her three daughters: Debora Lange, La Lita Lange and Tanya (Mickey Simerly) Lange, four sisters: Luella (Smith) Handshy of Bixby, OK, Billie (Smith) Deibel of Miami, OK, Virginia (Smith) Fleming of North Miami, OK, and Linda (Smith) Autry of Jay, OK, grandson: Valente (Richelle) Valenzuela with her great-grand children Anthony, Samantha, & baby boy due in May, Valenzuela, and grandson Eliseo (Stephanie) Valenzuela with her great-grandchild Milo Valenzuela, all of Tucson, AZ., and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Katherine Marie was preceded in death by her husband Clarence “Dusty” Lange, and parents John and Birdie Smith.
Services will be held Friday March 10, 2017: Visitation at 11am, and Memorial Service at 12pm in the chapel at Evergreen Mortuary & Cemetery 3015 North Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705.
