Keith Edward Grossnickle 64, died at his home on June 21, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Ann; sons, Ken (Elise), Erik (Brett), Todd; stepchildren, Joshua and Sarah Baker; grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, and Kyle Grossnickle; his father, Glen and his sister, Karen Burgess. Keith was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Reid Grossnickle. Keith was born April 8, 1951, in Onaga, KS, and grew up in Ventura, CA. He was an Eagle Scout and track star, graduating from Ventura's Buena High in 1969. In 1970 he moved his family to Albuquerque, NM for his first job as a programmer. In 1971 he accepted a job at Tucson Police Dept. and began his extensive career in the field of computer technology for law enforcement, retiring from the Pima County Sheriff's Dept. in 2014. Keith was a dedicated father and husband. His passion was the Southwest, its wildlife, plants, geography, and history. While his children were young he enjoyed spending time exploring Arizona with his boys. He also enjoyed traveling with Ann to visit missions and historical sites throughout the Southwest, and he thoroughly enjoyed living outside of Tucson's city limits in a natural desert area. A private memorial service will be held for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, as Keith was a generous contributor for many years.
