Oh dear. Just now seeing Kenny passed. So sorry and sad to hear he's gone. I was a motoref that often roomed and sipped beers with Ken from 2003 to 2010. I was a complete newbie to the sport at the time, but he graciously and patiently taught me everything he knew about bicycling and was a wonderful fellow to work with. He was a real treasure trove of engaging stories that captivated me many of those weekends. We really had a lot of fun together. In particular, staying in the Western New Mexico University President's guest house in Silver City, NM with Kenny and Bob Norem (also gone) was a hoot. Spinning random LP's on that ancient turntable and laughing with the boys after a long day of race officiating is just such a fond memory for me. I truly looked forward to working those races with Kenny. His smile seemed bigger than his small frame could handle, but it was as reliable as his clipboard during a cold sunrise race start.
My condolences to Fredette and the family.
