Kenneth Earl Hawkins' Obituary
Kenneth Earl Hawkins, 88, of Tucson, Arizona died on November 14, 2023. He was born in Elmhurst, Illinois to the late Frances (nee Schwarze) and Earl Hawkins. Ken attended York High School in Elmhurst, Illinois before joining the U.S. Airforce in 1952. Ken returned to the Chicago area after his discharge from the service where he worked as police officer for the town of Villa Park before joining the IBEW electrical union. Ken relocated his family to Tucson in the 1980’s where he finished his career working for PIMA County. Ken remained a loyal Cub’s fan, a lifelong “Chicago” Cardinal’s football fan, and treasured his many dogs.
Ken was survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, the love of his life, Classie (Sherry) Hawkins.
Ken was step-father to Kent Joyce (Kristy), Timothy Joyce (Sheri), and father to Debra, Bryan (Cindy), Kevin (Lori), Earl, and Charles (Joanne) Hawkins. Ken is survived by 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
