Kenneth R. Smith's Obituary
Kenneth Smith, 56, of Tucson, died January 27, 2014 peacefully in his sleep. He was born to Herbert and Annegret Smith in Riverside California on March 27, 1957. He married Edna Colvin in 1976, shortly after enlisting in the United States Air Force. They lived happily together for 36 years--from Great Falls Montana and Vandenberg California, finally deciding to buy a home together in Tucson Arizona. Ken enlisted in the USAF on June 11, 1975 and was stationed at Malmstrom AFB, Montana, Vandenberg, AFB, California and Florennes AB, Belgium. The majority of his career was spent as a member of the 394th Missile Maintenance Squadron. He served honorably for 20 years retiring from active service on July 1, 1995. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and volunteering his time as a Little League Umpire. Ken is survived by his wife Edna, three children: Eric Smith, Adam Smith and, Kyle Smith. He is also survived by his parents Herbert and Annegret Smith of Orcutt Ca, brother Paul Smith, of Orcutt Ca, and three grandchildren. A private burial and memorial service for the family and close friends will be held.
