Keyvan and I were roommate's in Chicago in college.
He shared memories of life growing up in Pershia.
Keyvan drove a blue and white 1955 Ford four door sedan.
Keyvan was intelligent, worldly, helpful, and friendly.
We kept up until he moved west and occasionally we visited him in Tucson.
I recall he had bought a black Renault sedan in which we took a spring break trip to St Louis Illinois.
One winter he called from Waukegan ll , when the Renault broke. I Drove to a rental place and got a towbar, and went to get him
The fan base had broken and the fan flew up slicing the sheet metal rear cover. ( rear engine). Keyvan was angry.
When the dealer wouldn’t fix it under warranty he told them he wash not paying any more payments. And abandoned the car.
When a bill collector called he told the bill collector he had Diplomatic Immunity.
At school a Bright Electric engineer in our Fraternity House had invented a way to bend a cost hanger into a device, “The hook, that got your coins back. Keyvan and other foreign students would walk over to phone booths and call home for free.
