Kimberlee Ann Allen's Obituary
Kimberlee Ann Allen, known as Kimmi to her family and many friends, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, December 4th, 2017 at the age of 55. Kimmi had lived in several places during her lifetime, notably Cincinnati, Ohio and Chicago Illinois, before settling in Tucson, Arizona with her son Reed in 2011.
Kimmi was a loving mother to her 15-year-old son Reed. He was her most important job in life and her proudest accomplishment. She was an RN, currently working with Vets in a VA nursing home. She was a caring and compassionate nurse who treated her patients with kindness and good humor. When not working Kimmi loved shopping for clothes and putting together imaginative outfits out of new, vintage and consignment clothing. She was very stylish and never looked like anyone else. Kimmi and Reed had two dogs they adored, Lilly, a small Maltese and Dewey, a miniature poodle mix.
Kim had been a competitive high school gymnast and was a swimmer and diver. She loved the outdoors and from a child was a skilled equestrian, and skier. She and her son went on outdoor adventures, skiing, camping, fishing, rafting, ziplining, biking and hiking. Kim was a vivacious, outgoing person, with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She “never met a stranger” and had many friends all over the United States. Kim loved a good time and was always the life of the party, taking photos of everyone and dancing like no one was watching. We thought she would be with us forever and her passing leaves a big hole in our hearts and lives. Kim wanted to donate her organs to help others and her gift saved the lives of 3 people.
Kimmi is survived by her son Reed Tucker; her mother, Linda Zepp, step-father Don Zepp and sister Alison Zepp; her father James Allen and step-mother Fran Allen. There will be a memorial service for Kimmi on December 29th at 3PM at the Tucson Country Club, 2950 N Camino Principal, Tucson, AZ 85715.
