Larry William Pierson's Obituary
Larry William Pierson, 59, of Tucson, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Alina Pierson; his son, Christian Joseph Pierson; his parents, Larry V. Pierson (Amber) and Patricia A. Wolfe Orozco (Ray); and his siblings, Edward Pierson, Laura Steinmehl (Douglas), Colton Pierson (Guinevere) and Austin Pierson; and Danista Parish, whom he cherished and guided like a daughter.
He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Michael William Pierson; his grandfather, Frank J. Wolfe; his very close friend Ted Dorman; and many others who were dear to him.
At a young age, he enjoyed racing BMX with his friends and family, an interest that later grew into a passion for automobiles and led to a career in the automotive service industry.
Larry dedicated more than 35 years of service to Royal Automotive Group, where he built family-like relationships and formed valued, lasting friendships. During his illness, the compassion, understanding and unwavering support shown by the team at Royal Automotive Group brought great comfort to him and his family. The family deeply appreciates the kindness and care shown throughout Larry’s difficult 18-month journey, as well as the hope and encouragement offered for his return to Royal one day.
Larry lived a life grounded in hard work, honesty and integrity. He took pride in his work and was quick to lend a hand to family and friends whenever help was needed. He was kind and showed a genuine devotion to others, always making people feel supported and valued. Loyalty and sincerity were values he held close and were evident in the way he lived and treated others. He also deeply cherished a special circle of friends he held dear, enjoying their family gatherings, nights out and holidays spent together. He loved watching their children grow into adults with accomplishments and children of their own, was proud to be “Uncle Larry” to them, and honored to serve as godfather to a few members of the family he cherished.
Above all, Larry was a devoted family man. He shared more than 39 years with his wife, Alina, and treasured the time spent with her and their son Christian, whom he loved unconditionally. He celebrated every milestone his son achieved, big or small, always cheering from the sidelines as his biggest supporter. He strove to make his family happy and to share in life’s simple joys with them, from peaceful mornings enjoying coffee together to vacations that featured his favorite taco shop, all-day beach outings and time to relax while awaiting an evening sunset.
Larry especially adored his wife’s cooking, cherishing countless meals shared with her and their family.
Larry also loved creating lasting memories through special experiences, including concerts by the Eagles, Kiss, OMD, Journey, The Cure, and Gwen Stefani; Dodgers and Padres baseball games; Disney trips; and attending a close friend’s wedding in Hawaii, where he proudly guided his two-year-old son down the aisle as ring bearer. He loved exploring new experiences with his son and watching Christian’s 3D printing creations come to life.
Christian brought out the very best in his father, and Larry devoted his life to his family, especially his son. Christian was the first baby Larry ever held, and from that moment on, his son became his whole world.
He will be profoundly missed by his family, close friends and all who knew and loved him.
The family expresses its sincere gratitude to Dr. Knepler, Dr. Bajaj and Dr. Frye; the medical teams at Banner University Medical Center and Arizona Cancer Center; Dr. Cabanillas of MD Anderson; and all who believed in Larry’s life and did all they could to give him more time with his family.
Please join us as we remember Larry. Services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Interment will take place at Holy Hope Cemetery at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Memorial Mass in his honor at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Parish at 10:30 a.m., with a gathering immediately following in the Parish Hall.
