Larry Twohy's Obituary
Larry Michael Twohy, 85, passed away on Tuesday, January 21st, 2020 in Orlando, Florida with his family by his side.
Larry was born on September 30th, 1934 in Spokane, Washington, son of Edmond and Adelina Twohy. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Colleen (Maloney) Twohy. He met his beloved wife in Spokane on a blind date arranged by a mutual acquaintance and many years of blissful marriage followed.
Larry graduated from Gonzaga Prep High School (1951) and attended Seattle University. He had a long, successful career with the phone company, from working on utility poles in the early years to rolling out the E-911 program in Seattle.
Larry and Colleen retired to a home in Tucson, Arizona where they could golf, swim, make new friends and stay active in the sun year around.
Larry is survived by his four daughters and their husbands, Rosaleen Carlson (Bobby), Melinda Williams (Robert), Theresa Johns (Steve) and Brenda Meeks (Bill). He is also survived by his cherished 7 grandchildren, Madeline Carlson, Paige Carlson, Adelina Manaut, Emily Johns, Alex Johns, Parker Meeks and Addison Meeks. Larry is also survived by his sister, Sue Laliberte of Seattle as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being done by Evergreen Mortuary, graveside service is to be held on January 31st at Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson Arizona where he will be laid to rest next to his wife Colleen
