LaVonne Louise Timm, 80, passed away November 12, 2022. Born April 15, 1942 in Porland, Oregon to William Folkerts & Minerva Kluth. Vonnie was a flight attendant and made her home in Arizona for over 50 years. She is survived by h Read Obituary
I just found out of Vonnie's passing. I knew Vonnie in Grade school and she went one year to St Mary's in Portland, Oregon. Vonnie was a bridgesmaid in My wedding, April 5th, 1961.
We shared many memories. It was so nice when Kristen brought her to my home for a visit a few years ago. I wish Kristen would have let me know hen she died. I would have express my condolences to the family.
Vonnie and I met when we were young girls probably around 10 and 11 years old. We would roller skate every Saturday at the Imperial Roller Rink in Portland, Oregon and soon became fast friends.
Our friendship continued onto high school and after. I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and after a few years, Vonnie and I shared an apartment in San Mateo.
She eventually moved to Arizona and my husband and I relocated to Lake Oswego. After a few years, we reconnected and it was such a joyous reunion .
I’m so saddened to learn of Vonnie’s passing. She was a wonderful person. My sincere condolences to her family.

I just learned of Vonnie’s passing and am so saddened to learn of this. Vonnie and I were childhood friends, went to Roosevelt High School together and were roommates in San Mateo, California when we were in our 20’s.
I have so many wonderful memories of our friendship over the years, but the one I remember so fondly were our weekends skating at the Imperial Roller
Rink. We were even in a couple skating shows which were great fun for us.
Kristen, please extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I am so grateful that you brought Vonnie to Portland several years ago and she and I and Judy were able to share a final visit.

Rest In Peace Vonnie. I loved your fighting spirit and spunk. You were always very kind to me and my mom, and of course all the dogs! Here’s a pic from when we came to visit with Grants boys to keep you company and play some card games a few summers ago. Rest well.
