Lawrence R. Saxton's Obituary
Lawrence (Larry) R. Saxton, 82 of Tucson, formerly of Dundee, MI, passed away February 23, 2017 of natural causes. He was a retiree of Ford Motor Car Company, Ypsilanti, MI. He was a life member of the Moose Family Center (Harrison, MI), The American Legion of AZ, a member of UAW Local 849, an avid bowler, golfer, loved to grill outside, and Detroit Tiger Baseball. He also served in the US Navy. He is survived by step daughters Patricia Green of Milan, MI and Debra Hines of Tucson; stepson Mark (Karen Sue) Gable and son Garry (Donna) Saxton both of Troy, MO. He leaves 16 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Larry was predeceased by his beloved wife Sharon (Green); parents Merlin C. and Delores (Spohr) of Redford Township, MI; a brother Richard M. of Westland, MI; a son Matthew of Ypsilanti, MI; and only cousin Joann (Heiden) Kimlin of Ypsilanti, MI.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Evergreen Mortuary Chapel, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that a memorial be made in Larry’s name to Little League Baseball District 5, 9225 E. Tanque Verde Rd., #1-203, Tucson, AZ 85749
