Leo Frank's Obituary
Leo Frank was born in New York State on August 16, 1928. He was an only child of Gussie and Jerome Frank. He was brought up in a traditional immigrant Jewish household and was expected to become a productive part of the community at a very young age. As an only child he was the anchor that held the family together and of course his parents were very proud of his accomplishments. Lee excelled in school, attended NYU with a bachelor's in accounting. He then volunteered for the Air Force where he served for several years. After completing his MBA at NYU, he ventured to Salt Lake City for a government job and met Jocelyn Cohen, soon to be his bride and lifelong partner for 58 years, just celebrated on October16, 2013. Father of three children, he lived a devoted life to his family and career. He settled on a position in Tucson at Hughes Air Craft Company where he worked for over 40 years. Lee moved up into his final position at Hughes in the late eighties where he worked with small and disadvantaged businesses helping them earn contracts with Hughes. He was highly regarded by the Native American Community for the work he accomplished in helping them become a long term vendor, including an award he was given in Washington DC for his accomplishments. Lee had an infectious smile coupled with a sense of humor that immediately attracted everyone to love him. He enjoyed the company of his family, coin collecting and was a graceful and accomplished dancer. Service was clearly the focus of his life and in his last few weeks he was assuring his family and caregivers with two thumbs up that he was still OK. Lee will be dearly missed by his wife, family and friends.
