Growing up, I didn't see much of Aunt Leona, but as an adult, especially after my mom, her sister, died, I felt a huge need to get closer to her. She was a lot like my mom and they were very close in their later years.
I loved chatting with her and her dry sense of humor. I loved looking at all her dolls and other sewing projects when I'd come to visit.
Like her sister, she was one of the strongest people I know! I'm really going to miss her!
