LeRoy Vance Day's Obituary
LeRoy Vance Day, age 87, went home to be with the Lord early Thursday morning, April 1st, 2021. LeRoy was born in Beallsville, Pennsylvania. His father, Walter Day, moved the family out west eventually settling in Tucson, Arizona, where he drove Greyhound Bus routes across the western United States. Grace Day, LeRoy’s mother, took care of the rest of the family needs as a home maker.
LeRoy graduated from Tucson High School in 1953 and served two years active duty in the Army during the Korean War. He also completed four years in the Army Reserves. LeRoy worked a variety of jobs in the industrial and mechanical sector, including positions at Hughes Aircraft Company in Arizona and Coast Industrial Company in California. LeRoy enjoyed going to the beach, bowling, cars, food (especially lobster and peanut brittle) and feeding the birds. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Grace Day (Ross) and his brother Floyd.
LeRoy will be deeply missed by his dear friends Joe and Christina Hoscheidt.
