Lil Boas' Obituary
"Cookie" 1922 - 2013 Lil and her family moved to Tucson in 1959. She quickly found work as a model, singer and actress, and can be seen as an extra in the John Wayne classic, "McLintock!" She soon became a favorite employee at Merrill Lynch, eventually retiring after 25 years of service. She was a perfect example to those around her always warm, gracious and kind. She loved her community, serving as president of City of Hope, Woman of the Year, and as a volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital for over a decade. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and was soon to become a great-grandmother. Her family would like to thank Broadway Proper and Odyssey Hospice for their kind attention, support and love. No flowers, please. If you wish to commemorate her life with a donation, her favorite charities were City of Hope, Gentiva (formerly Odyssey) Hospice and the Carondolet Foundation. Services Friday, July 12, 2013, 9:00 AM at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, Interment to follow Temple Emanu-El Section of Evergreen Cemetery.
