Lilly P Benavidez's Obituary
Lilly P. Benavidez, 76, passed away suddenly August 18, 2017 in Tucson, AZ.
She was born on July 31, 1941 in Morenci, AZ. She is preceded in death by son; Mario, parents; Juan De Dios and Lilia Ponce, brothers; Eliseo, Martin, Ricardo; and sister; Aurora. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Louie C. Benavidez and her 3 children; Barbie (Benny), Louie Jr. (Lilly) and Christina (Jeremy). As well as 7 grandchildren; Nicole (Aaron), Rene (Sharon), Cassandra (Niko), Eric (Vanessa), Louie III, Marcos (Bryanna) and Emilio. Her 13 great grandchildren; Quest, JJ, Journey, Devin, Mariah, Steven, Izabella, Anthony, Alaina, Adrina, EJ, Marcos Jr. and Mila.
Lilly previously worked for Tucson Central Pediatrics as a Medical Assistant where she 1st retired. She moved on to work for Flowing Wells High School, assisting with special needs children and retired for a 2nd time. Out of retirement for a 3rd time she was presently with the FW Transportation Department to assist the children on the school buses. Working with children was a passion of hers. When visiting her home she always made sure to have beans and chili in the refrigerator so no one ever left with an empty tummy. She had an endless amount of love to give and you were always greeted with open arms. Lilly was loved by so many and will be missed by all.
Services will be held at Sacred Heart Church 601 E. Ft. Lowell Rd on Monday August 28, 2017 at 10:00am. Holy Hope Cemetery 3555 N. Oracle Rd at 11:30am. Reception to follow at Outlaw Saloon 1302 W. Roger Rd.
