Linda Kay Blais' Obituary
Linda Kay Blais, age 68, died peacefully in her sleep on December 18, 2015 at home in Tucson, Arizona. Linda was born on January 13, 1947 in Missouri, the daughter of Granville E. Smith deceased and Edie Smith (Tipton, MO.)
Linda graduated from Tipton High School where Linda was a top-notch lead baton twirler. After graduating from Tipton High school in Tipton, MO, she quickly enrolled in Missouri University (located in Columbia MO). Later that same year she became pregnant and was advised by her doctor to discontinue college at that time. After a difficult pregnancy she gave birth to twin girls. Ten years later she luckily had an easy birth of a son, her final child.
Then a few years later she moved to Colorado where she had family. She began her time there by doing something she had always wanted to complete which was to get her college diploma, and she did. She was very proud to have that diploma though it was much later than she had planned for it. It must have been fate in some way though because it was during this time that she met the man who soon became her husband of over 30 years. He stood by Linda’s side always with love in his heart through sickness and health.
Linda most enjoyed her family and spending time in her garden tending roses. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of the Life she lived is planned for 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 2nd, at her home.
Linda is survived by:
Her husband Joe Blais (of the home), her mother Edie (of Tipton, MO), her brother Richard Smith, spouse Debbie & children (of Tipton), daughter Shari Wilson, spouse Tess Hyatt & son, daughter Jari Wilson-Long, significant other Tracy Marshall (all of Tucson), son Matthew Wilson (of Pueblo, CO), Granddaughter Hayley, Grandsons Zachary, Tristan & Connor and several cousins,
In lieu of flowers it was Linda’s wish for donations to be given to the Multiple Sclerosis chapter of your choosing.
