On the morning of November 25, 2016, Linda passed away in her Tucson home after a courageous, two year battle with stomach cancer. Linda was 68 years old. Linda was born May 6, 1948 in Tucson, Arizona where she resided throughout her life. It is in Tucson where she met her husband of 40 years, Albert “Beto” Martinez. She worked as an administrative assistant at the University of Arizona. Her other occupations included caring for children in her home and assisting with exceptional education students at Ocotillo Preschool.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a lovely soul who touched the lives of many. Her family will be forever grateful for the gift of love she gave each day.
Preceded in death by her parents Lorenzo and Carmen; brothers Henry, Ernie, Carlos and sister Norma Campuzano. Survived by her loving husband Albert “Beto” Martinez; children Monique Martinez, Veronica (Chris) Bonn, Lynn (Jacob) Valenzuela and Albert Martinez; grandchildren Veronique, Viviana, Andrew, Adrian, and Jacob “J.J.”; sister Carmen Cardenas and brothers Lorenzo, Louie, Frank, Gilbert and Oscar Campuzano as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Evergreen Mortuary (3015 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705). Viewing from 9 am – 11 am with a Rosary beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Holy Hope Cemetery (3555 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705).
