Loy Ho Helen Wong Yee's Obituary
Mrs. Yee passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. She went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2013. She was born on September 19, 1918 in Leung Ung Village, Toi Shan, China. She lived most of her life here in Tucson, Arizona. Helen helped run their grocery store and raised their children. She retired from the grocery business in 1980. She spent the rest of her life cooking, gardening, traveling and visiting family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Harry, she is survived by her children Doretta Lee of San Francisco, CA, Huang Xing Yuan (Bin Qiang Li) of Oakland, CA, Wong Yuen Man of Hong Kong, Fairy Eng of Buckeye, AZ, Lillian Yamashita of Montebello, CA, Elenore Wong (Bob) of Montebello, CA, Nery Lee (Yat) of Tucson, Henry Yee of Tucson and Buck Yee (Yvonne) of Scottsdale, AZ. She is also leaving behind her sister Sun Vee Hom of Boston, MA; 23 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services Tuesday, April 16, 2013, 10 AM at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, with Rev. Jacqueline Bell-Jones officiating. Friends may call Monday, 6 to 8 PM at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tucson Chinese Cultural Center, 1288 W. River Rd., Tucson, AZ 85704.
