Lu Wynn Urias' Obituary
Urias, Lu Wynn (July 25, 1952 – January 1, 2026). Lu Wynn Urias was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and raised by parents George and Evelyn Ely. At the age of 11, her family moved to Tucson, Arizona, where she later met her husband, Charles Gilbert Urias, an architect known for his devotion, for 46 years until his passing in 2018. Together, they welcomed a son, Charles Patrick Urias, in 1983. Lu Wynn had a lifelong passion for healthy living. She taught cooking classes and was especially interested in the macrobiotic diet. Her other interests included painting, dancing, long walks with her dogs, and reading. Shortly after the birth of her son, Lu Wynn suffered a tragic accident that left her without vision. Despite this hardship, she was deeply committed to her role as a wife and mother and took great care to ensure her family was well nourished and cared for. Lu Wynn is survived by her son, Charles Patrick Urias, daughter-in-law, Maimouna Urias, and her grandson, Charles Nicholas Urias. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 16, at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery.
