Luz Marina Zazueta's Obituary
Luz Marina Zazueta, 75, passed away on January 31, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital and will be laid to rest on Tuesday February 9, 2021.
Luz was born in Magdalena, Sonora, Mexico to Felipe Valenzuela and Eulalia B. Zazueta and resided in Rio Rico, Arizona. She was a lifelong nurse in the United States and a preacher in both the U.S. and Mexico. She dedicated her life to taking care of her patients and spreading the word of the Lord. She was a God-fearing, loving, faithful, funny, and fearless woman who we were all very lucky to know. She faced life with courage and prayer and took every opportunity to teach those around her about salvation.
Luz loved to travel, including several trips to Israel. But her favorite trips were to New York and New Jersey to visit her kids and grandkids and where she rarely missed a birthday. Luz loved to sing, dance, and cook with her family and friends. Everyone had their favorites of hers, but the best part of those meals was the memories created around the table with family. Luz also loved all things sparkly and had a green thumb like no other. She had the most beautiful rose bushes in which she took much pride and often would send pictures of them to the people she loved to let them know she was thinking of them.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, tia, cousin, friend, and servant to our Lord. She is survived by her children Vincent, Delilah, and Melissa; her children-in-law Christina, Chris, and Warren; her grandchildren Gabriel, Loreal, Moriya, Julea, Valentino, Sofia, Giorgio, Priscilla, and Anna; and her nine sisters and two brothers.
Thank you to everyone who said a prayer. Luz, you will be deeply missed by each one us.
