Margaret H. Heilig's Obituary
Margaret “Peggy” Heilig (Harrington) entered eternal rest at age 89. Born July 15, 1933 in Glens Falls, New York, she brought generations of kindness, joy, and laughter to all those around her. A dedicated public servant and a trailblazer for women in the workforce, Peggy spent her career with US West Communications after her service in the Air Force as a radio operator. Known by all as an honest and trustworthy leader, devoted mother, and loving grandmother, her wisdom, compassion, and guidance will be greatly missed. Peggy is preceded in death by her sister Jean and daughter Linda and is survived by sons Buddy and Joe, seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and her beloved Doberman. A viewing will be held on Friday, July 14 at 9:00 AM with services following at 10:00 AM at Evergreen Mortuary, 3015 N. Oracle Road. Burial will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
