Marge Becher's Obituary
We are sad, heartened and hopeful to announce the passing of a generation. Our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Marge Becher, has joined her husband of 52 years, Lewis John Becher (LJ) (1998). On October 11, 2016, Margorie Ann Rossillon Becher, the youngest, and last of her thirteen siblings, passed away at the age of 94. Marge was born on a farm in Olpe, Kansas in 1922, to Joseph and Marie Rossillon, nee Bouquin. She graduated from the St. Francis Nursing School in Topeka, and because the United States was at war, she became a VA nurse and worked at multiple VA hospitals in Kansas. It was in that setting Marge met, cared for, and in six weeks, married her dashing WWII B-25 pilot, LJ Becher. In 1946 Marge and LJ Left Kansas to move to Tucson, AZ, where they lived and raised their four children. She is survived by her daughter Lois Swain (Jerrold), and sons, John (Elena), James (Brenda), and Robert. Her five grandchildren are, Stephen, Theresa (Richard), Jacob (Evie), Jessica and Amanda. Her three great grandchildren are, Rhionnon, Lauren and Evan. Per her request the services held in Tucson, AZ were private and burial took place in Moundridge, Kansas, where she was laid to rest beside her beloved husband. If you wish to make a remembrance, the family asks if you would please make a donation to the Saints Peter and Paul School, 1436 N. Campbell Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85719, in Marge’s name, as she and LJ were active members of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church since 1949.
