Margit Wirth Johnson-Lacker's Obituary
Margit Wirth Johnson-Lacker passed on May 28, 2015 after a blessed life filled with lots of love, and lots of challenges met. Margit was born in Gemunden Germany, taking the boat to America at three years old with her parents and grand parents, settling in Chicago IL. She graduated from Roosevelt University, earning a BS Laboratory Sciences degree, specializing in Phlebotomy. Margit and David Lieberman raised three sons Marc, Rick, and Craig, in Elgin IL. where Margit was on the council of American women. Margit later took a job with the Free Press Newspapers, becoming their top sales agent until retiring to Tucson with her second husband Norman O. Johnson (Jr.) of Stevens Point Wisconsin. Blending together families including Norman's children Nancy, Norma, Carol and Donald. Later Margit volunteered for ten years as a Docent for Tucson Museum of Art while also caring for her mother, Aunt and ailing husband. After Norman's passing in 2001, Margit was overjoyed to find and marry Jerry Lacker, and blending again with Jerry's extended family of children grandchildren and great grandchildren. We, the living, celebrate the life of Margit including Marc and Cindy Lieberman of Scottsdale AZ; Rick and Amy Lieberman of Scottsdale and their children Claire, Elise and Aaron; Craig Lieberman of Grapevine Texas and his children Stephanie, Elizabeth, Hannah and Benjamin; Nancy Brown of Peachtree City GA; Norma and Buck Hilliard of Peachtree City GA and their children Norman and Zachary; Carol and Jim Bryan of Hurst TX and their children Steve and Kelly; Don and Katherine Johnson of Frederick MD and their children Benjamin, Emily, and Nicholas; Jan and Ivor Lichterman of Toledo OH and their children Mayron, and Ari and Jackie. These celebrants and the extended family and friends gather together to celebrate this most excellent individual. Margit was a lifetime learner continuing to take courses throughout her life. In lieu of gifts Margit wanted everyone to send donations to educational institution of their choice. A memorial service will be held at Saturday May 30 at 8 PM, Temple Emanuel-El 225 N. Country Club Road, Tucson AZ. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY.
