Mariano Valdez's Obituary
Mariano Valdez, 89 years of age, from Tucson AZ, passed away on Wednesday August 5, 2020. Mariano was born on July 26, 1931 in Huasabas, Sonora to the late Jose Valdez and Manuela Acedo de Valdez. He was the second to the oldest of seven children.
Proceeded in death by wife Aurora Leyva Valdez; his son Mariano Jr.; brothers, Ramon, and Jose Alfredo; and sisters, Francisca, and Maria. He is survived by his children, Frances, Martin, Adrian; his grandchildren, Jessica, Albert, Frannie, Valarie, Diana, Martin Jr., Mark; twenty great grandchildren; and brothers, Gregorio, and Miguel Angel.
Mariano Married the late Aurora Leyva Valdez on August 9, 1958. He had a bright and energetic personality and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a unique ability to transform anything into something new. He always found something to repurpose. His favorite past time activity was playing a good game of conquian or dominoes. He always enjoyed eating his beans with cheese and his cafecito con pan. He was a very hard worker and retired from his landscape position at La Paloma Country Club.
Mariano was a devoted catholic attending Sunday service at Santa Cruz catholic church. He loved to read his bible, praying for and with others, and spending time with the family. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.
