in honor of Marjorie "Margie".

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of my best friend's mother! She was a great mom and I remember her taking us to Mansfield for a doctor's appointment one winter and the car breaking down on a big hill! But she knew how to maneuver that situation. I know I wrote that memory down for a school paper at St. Vincent's so now I can re-remember it. It's hard to remember all the small things that are even more special later.

I did not know that she demanded she have an assignment while she and Joe were in the Peace Corps! Go Women!!! Good for her and better help provided for the people in that community since she took an assignment while there also! Good for all!

So many wonderful things to say about the Great Aunt Marge but one thing that has always impacted me was the depths of her faith and her strong belief in the power of prayer. Like her sister Gloria, my Grandmother, she possessed the ability to share her faith by her actions and not just her words. Neither of them had ever "preached" to me, but their sureness in Him was a given that brought me great confidence, comfort and a deep admiration for them both. Marge was a friend of the family, as I met her through my mom who was also a teacher. She always made you feel welcome when you visited her home, and she truly felt like part of the family.

She was such a kind soul and an amazing person. I will miss you <3

Joe, Chris, Karen and families,
I am so sorry for your loss. So many great memories of Margie I have to cherish! She was such a lovely and kind lady. I was so sad when you guys moved away from Mount Vernon, but totally understand the reason you both did. Joe, I dearly miss you and our conversations at the salon. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Aunt Marge took me with her to the kindergarten class she was teaching even though I was only 3 or 4 at the time.
Also, I happened to be visiting her and Joe in Scranton the day I turned 21, and she gave me a beer.
