Mark Edward Lawson's Obituary
Mark E Lawson, 55, of Oro Valley, Arizona passed away surrounded by his family on August 30th, 2019. Mark is survived by his loving wife Donna of 29 years, son Parker, daughter Lauren, mother Patricia, father Edward Nabors, Brother Brian, Sister Tiffini and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was predeceased by his brother Daniel, and his stepfather Leroy. Mark was born in Spokane Washington where he was raised until the age of 13 when his family moved first to Hawaii for 3 years and then to Montana where he finished High school. Along with a variety of sports and other activities, Mark was active in Boy Scouts in his youth and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from high school with honors and went on to study at Northwest College in Wyoming, Texas A&M and then finally the University of Arizona in Tucson where he had lived since 1985. Mark majored in Electrical Engineering and minored in Music. After a short period of time working for IBM and in other engineer positions, Mark co-founded several tech startups and continued to operate them with his family until his passing. Mark had many interests and passions throughout his life including travel, skiing, UofA basketball and music. He was an accomplished saxophone player and had recently produced an album with his daughter, Lauren. Mark's family was his greatest passion. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 7th at 10am at Evergreen Mortuary 3015 N Oracle Rd, Tucson AZ 85705
