Marvin Barry Dechter's Obituary
Marvin Barry Dechter, 72, passed away January 2, 2021.
Today will be one of the hardest days of my life having to say goodbye to my best friend & soul mate for over 46 years ! In addition to knowing him & having our 1st date when I was only 18. Our first date was a double date @ a drive in in Chicago that didnβt go very well! He spilled orange soda ! Although he remembers it was coke he spilled on me. I am still in shock & canβt believe heβs gone . He was always there for me throughout the years ! We grew up together taking care of my dad who was disabled & suffered from depression when my Mom passed away from cancer soon after we were married !
He was my rock there for me when I had surgery for my colon twisting & throughout the effects of radiation that literally fried me during my 1st breast cancer diagnosis & the 2nd time around with a local occurrence 14 years later ! We went through years of trying to have a child & lost our house & our car which he was so fond of.
He had an extremely difficult time at dialysis the past several months. He fought so hard to survive & had so many close calls before G-D decided he wanted another π I wmiss him so much & hope and pray he is finally at peace . I am truly grateful for all of you who were there for us followed us our roller coaster journey w/ your calls prayers texts kindness
Marv had a heart of gold & would give the shirt off his back to help everyone. His last call to me was to make sure I paid my cell phone . He was always worried about me ! He did have a short fuse & would say what he felt ! Yet he was so grateful & appreciated any little thing someone did to help him
He was a wonderful hubby Dad Grandpa brother( in law ) uncle cousin & friend . May he RIP w/ the π & his memory be a blessing . I canβt believe my better half is gone He will always be in my ( our ) hearts ) I will always be a part of me & the Luv of my life . I keep wanting to call him on the phone to tell him everything that is going on , I am grateful he is no longer suffering & hope he is finally @ peace. ππππππππ
