Mary Gaylene Aldridge's Obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mary Gaylene Aldridge, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to all whose lives she touched, sometime between February 19 and 20, 2019. She left us while sleeping peacefully at her home in Tucson, Arizona, just one week shy of turning 69.
Gaylene was born February 27, 1950 in Bozeman, Montana to Louis and Mary Plett. She graduated from Fortuna Union High School in Fortuna, California. Gaylene retired from Raytheon after many years of dedicated service.
Gaylene was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her only living child and embraced every moment with her. She especially loved her role as a grandmother. They were her world. If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed into her child’s and grandchildren’s faces, the pure joy radiating from her, would blind you. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere. She loved to talk you ear off.
Gaylene was preceded in death, by her father, Louis Fredrick Plett, her mother Mary Frances Plett, and her infant daughter, Mary Saree Aldridge.
Gaylene left behind, her daughter and best friend, Mary Melis Bustillos of Tucson, Arizona, her son-in-law, Freddie Bustillos of Tucson, Arizona, and her two grandchildren, Gabriela Saree Bustillos and Alexander Ayon Bustillos of Tucson, Arizona. She also left behind her brother Louis La Verne Plett of Surprise, Arizona, her sister Judy Dee Tudor of Tucson, Arizona, ex-husband Larry Aldridge of Silver Springs, FL and her dog, Pepper and as well as numerous friends.
This gentle, loving, caring and wonderful woman has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be extremely missed by all!
A Memorial Service for Gaylene will be held March 15, 2019 at Evergreen Mortuary and Cemetery, 3015 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, Az. 85705 at 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon. After the memorial, Gaylene will be placed in her urn with her infant daughter, Saree and then share a nitch with her parents.
