The last conversation I had with Mary was on the porch of the house on 7th Ave, the same porch where she watched her daughters roller skate with me & my sister over many summers in the 70’s & 80’s.
Mary was always warm, welcoming, and straightforward. I am so glad she was a presence in my youth. Also, I’m so glad I’m still in touch with her daughters. Rest in peace, dear Mary
My heart just warms as I think of how welcoming and kind Mary Fio has always been toward Dan and I. Her bright smile and wicked wit added such fun to the gatherings we were lucky enough to attend with her. Our lives are so enriched by knowing her and her kind, sparkling and sometimes sassy words will live in our memories. Much love and comfort to all of her family.

I have so many! We've known each other for 63 years and shared raising our children, lunches together, theater buddies and helping each other with projects. We were truly "sisters of the heart".
