Pauline had worked as a waitress, a caregiver & as a homemaker during her lifetime. She worked on the farm as a child growing up and then alongside her husband during early years of their marriage.
Pauline was born March 23, 1929 in Morgantown, WV. She lived there until the family moved to Pennsylvania. There, she met her husband & the love of her life, James Wright. In 1969, they moved to Tucson, AZ. Several years ago, she relocated to live with her youngest son Gary & his family.
She obtained her GED and a driver’s license later in life, had trained her dogs (poodles) through handi-dogs & had been featured on Animal Planet & in a local paper and was very proud of her achievements. She was an animal lover, never being without at least one dog and cat.
Pauline & Jim enjoyed traveling the country in their RV with Good Sam Camping Club and on their own pleasure trips. She was a spiritual woman who enjoyed church activities. She practiced the bibles teaching of kindness & giving. She also enjoyed traveling, crocheting, reading, watching her grandchildren dance/play on the WII, sitting on the porch with her coffee, watching the sunset, visiting the local senior center in Tucson, AZ and many other activities.
During her later years, she fulfilled her bucket list of motorcycle riding, hot air ballooning, helicopter ride, train ride, boat tours, riding in front seat of large commercial truck, seeing waterfalls in the desert, & more.
Some of her favorites quotes: “I’m a tough old bird, ““Don’t make me get the wooden spoon”, “there’s always room for ice cream”, “I’m mean without my coffee”.
Pauline loved life, was always smiling and happy even on her darkest day. She will be remembered as a strong willed, kind, humorous and courageous woman.
Gary and Carol Wright would like to thank the doctors and hospice nurses that enriched not only Pauline’s life but ours as well during this difficult time.
