Michael Wayne Bell's Obituary
Michael W. Bell was born December 18, 1941 in Lubbock, Texas. On August 29, 2012 he passed away. Michael is preceded in death by his parents Margaret and Cecil Bell and sisters Patricia Ann Bell and Gail Bell Love. Michael is survived by his sister and brother, Shirley Lopez and Mark Bell; son, Rex and his wife Shannon; daughters, Paige Rutherford and her husband Kyle; and Tracy Chisler and her husband Walter. Michael had 8 grandchildren Stevie, Shane, Josh, Laura, Sean, Summer, April, and Heaven, as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends. Mike will be missed for his intelligence, his undeniable charm, his unmatched wit, and his strange kindness. As a resident of Arizona for more than 40 years he worked in construction, the last 15 years with his son Rex in their concrete business. Mike read a lot, and a quote by the author Steinbeck, encapsulates Mike perfectly; "I have always lived violently, drunk hugely, eaten too much or not at all, slept around the clock or missed two nights of sleeping, worked too hard and too long in glory, or slobbed for a time in utter laziness. I've lifted, pulled, chopped, climbed, made love with joy and taken my hangovers as a consequence, not as a punishment." Michael Bell was a man who lived life on his own terms, and truly was one of a kind. If you had the pleasure of having him in your life, you won't soon forget the joy he brought you and the memories you will cherish. A celebration of Michael's life will be held at the "Tree Bar" at 11811 W. Picture Rocks at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 15th. I Love You Pop. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY.
