Michael H. Stein's Obituary
MICHAEL H. STEIN, passed away unexpectedly December 2, 2011 at his home in Tucson. Michael was born March 6, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY to Nathan and Mollie Stein. Raised in Brooklyn, he graduated from James Madison High School and served in the U.S. Army. He proudly and regularly wore a sweatshirt of his alma mater, Long Island University, and loved to talk about anything LIU related. Always full of stats, scores and unusual historic facts, he was a walking encyclopedia. Following in his father's footsteps, he had a 50-year career as an accountant. Michael profoundly touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed. His daughters will forever hold in their hearts their "papa san." Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carolyn Pfeifer (Michael). He is survived by his loving wife and traveling companion of 46 years, Iris; daughters, Deborah Stein and Susan Stein (James) Kregar; brother, Paul (Margie) Stein; brother-in-law, Mick (Charlotte) Delfiner and many nieces and nephews. Service will be held Monday, December 5, 2011, at 9:00 AM, at EVERGREEN MORTUARY.
