I had the opportunity in getting to know Ms. Rico at Roberts Elementary when she taught my class about Nutrition. The kids enjoyed learning and tasting new things and I enjoyed learning alongside them.
Later, when I taught at Roskruge, I had the opportunity in having her grandson in my classroom. She came and taught my students then too! I still remember how vibrant and energetic she was when explaining how nutrition plays a vital part of their growth.
I was blessed in seeing her in September. She will be missed by many, but especially her family. Que en paz descance.
