Miguel Angel Mendoza's Obituary
Miguel Angel Mendoza was born July 05,1940 in Cucurpe Sonora to
Maria Luz Tautimer & Miguel Mendoza, who in total had 8 children.
Miguel grew up in Sonora as the eldest sibling surrounded by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
He was very curious and as the eldest, began working at a young age. As he got older
he moved around from Mexico, to Arizona, California and Texas possibly spent some
time living in New Mexico as well until he made Tucson Az his home around 1978 . In
1962 at the age of 22, he became a father to his first born child;
Ramon Angel Mendoza, followed by 6 more children, Martin Miguel Mendoza,
Daniel Miguel Mendoza, Maritza Mendoza, Mauro Mendoza, Fred Mendoza &
Melissa Mendoza.
Dad was a very hard worker his entire life and never waiver from it, even if he did not
like to be bossed around. From working at the mines, grounds keeper and various
in-betweens he kept busy. His love of mechanical work caused him great pleasure and
made it a job he loved, even as he fought with tools & cars! He loved his family and we
all can remember that family gatherings of any kind were grand! He made the best
carne asada and during those days he served up the coldest Budweisers!
Dad had his own particular sense of humor. He did not mind offending anyone for a
laugh because life is worth laughing. And all his kids and most of his grandkids are just
like him in that sense. He also gave his kids the example of honest hard work. He really
never gave much thought to what others thought of him. He did as he pleased and was
unapologetic. There is so much that our Dad experienced and did. He loved to share
his stories if you asked. We may not have asked enough. But there is also so much to
tell. We all have a memory of Dad, whether it was a 5am wake up call, another flat tire,
a shared drink, he loved coffee & horchata, or two, a song or “ay mira no se de donde
salio eso” to his affection for his phone and tv remote. Like my son said, Tata is in a
good place!
Miguel leaves behind a big beautiful family, survived by 2 brothers, 2 sisters, his 7
children, 26 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild.
He was never really a man of many words, but we all knew that one way or another,
whether he showed it or not, He loved every single one of us!
You have departed our Angel. But leave us with unforgettable memories!
Rest in peace Appa!
With everlasting Love,
Your Mendozas
