Miriam C. Sack's Obituary
Miriam C. Sack, nee Koenig, 94, passed away peacefully at her home in Scottsdale, Arizona on October 3, 2011. Beloved wife of 59 years of the late Lawrence H. Sack, loving mother of Norman (Patricia); Richard (Holly); cherished grandmother of Katherine (Jack) Colt; devoted sister of Shirlee (Richard) Sher; dear aunt and cousin to many; preceded in death by her parents Harry D. and Bessie Koenig and her brothers Lowell Koenig and Philip Koenig. Graduate of the University of Chicago, long-time member of Congregation KAM Isaiah Israel in Chicago and Congregation Or Adam in Scottsdale; retired family counselor for the Chicago Board of Health, lifelong artist, admired cook and hostess, author of a recently published Jewish cookbook, supporter of the arts and many charities. Graveside service will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, October 6 in the Congregation Chaverim Section of EVERGREEN CEMETERY, Tucson; visitation immediately following at the home of Richard and Holly Sack.
