I first met Mort in 2010 when we needed a car for my daughter...Mort is a third cousin (I think) whom I didn't know until my dad mentioned that he had a cousin in Tucson who could help us out.
From the minute we met, I felt like I had known him my whole life. Mort's loving, happy, wonderful energy reached out to me and it's been there ever since. I will always have him in my heart and will miss him.

I literally just found out today (1/25/21) that one of my dearest friends had passed away last month. Mort and I worked together for over 25 years, and he was the most personally influential person in my lifetime. I grew to love him as a mentor and big bro. I was only able to visit him a couple of times in the last few months due to Covid restrictions. (though we talked on the phone occasionally) Mort was a great man of honor and distinction, who went out of his way to serve others. Over the many years together, I witnessed Mort's compassion and generosity toward others manifest many times over. I know I am a better man for knowing, loving, and working closely with him. Please accept my deepest and loving condolences to Sally, the daughters and all the extended family.

I was very sorry to learn of Mort's passing. I met him as a volunteer with the American Cancer Society, and was always impressed with his commitment to the organization. Always a gentleman, always well dressed, always courteous and interested in what you had to say. Mort was a true gentleman, a philanthropist, and a kind soul. He will be missed. Just learned of Mort's passing. My deep sympathy to his family. I had the pleasure to know him since his days at Precision Toyota. Over the years I was always impressed with his positive outlook. May he rest in eternal peace.
The American Cancer Society lost a loyal friend in Mort Kranitz. For multiple decades, Mort's leadership with the Tucson Concert Series, then the Spring Soiree and other Gala events, and especially the Climb To Conquer Cancer Walk Up "A" Mountain helped raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support cancer research and patient services in Southern Arizona. He was always willing to offer his assistance, and very persistent with reaching out to his contacts asking for their support in a cause/organization he believed in so much. We are so appreciative of your efforts, Mort, and will always remember your laugh, your hugs and your dedication to the American Cancer Society.

We are so sad to hear of Mort's passing. When he was in our neighborhood he and Mitzi would stop by almost daily for conversation and a treat from "Uncle Dave" for Mitzi. He was so proud of his life's work and his service to our country. He brought his military medal to show to us. He always made us smile. We missed him so much already when he moved. Mort was a ray of sunshine for this earth and we are sure he will continue to shine in Heaven.

So sorry to hear about Mort's passing...I miss seeing him in the neighborhood walking Mitzi or in the Center Pointe complex walking and waving to everyone. He'll be truly missed.
Mort was the very first neighbor we met after moving to Center Pointe and he was the nicest guy ever!!!! He would walk Mitzi around our block and stop to chat daily. We visited him only once at his apartment before COVID and he was so proud of his Mountain Views. Hope he got a window seat in heaven and can see his mountain! Miss that guy!! The Montgomery Family
