Morton J. Shafton's Obituary
Morton J. Shafton, 87, a 52 year resident and businessman of Tucson, died December 3, 2012. He was born in Stevens Point, WI, son of the late Abraham and Jennie Kirsch Shafton. As an independent and successful real estate broker he operated Shafton Realty. Morton was a member of Temple Emanu-El. He was a devoted husband and father, who will be greatly missed. He leaves his beloved wife of 63 years, Francine Aries Shafton; daughters, Janet Bronitsky (Mark Suprenand) of Denver and Phyllis (Barry) Shafton Katz of Aromas, CA. He was predeceased by a daughter, Judith Shafton on April 3, 2002. He was proud of his grandchildren: Hannah and Gideon Kaplan, Micah (Erica) Bronitsky, Josh Bronitsky, Julia and Brad Katz. He also leaves twin great grandsons, Cody and Tyler Bronitsky. He was a loving brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Funeral services will be held 3 PM, Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N Oracle & W Miracle Mile. Burial will follow in the Temple Emanu-El section of EVERGREEN CEMETERY. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to The Tucson Food Bank or Temple Emanu-El. The arrangements are by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY.
