Murray Stuart Rulney's Obituary
On May 5, 2015, Murray Stuart Rulney passed away peacefully after a three month long battle with cancer. At the time of his death, Murray was 78 years old. Born in New York City on January 10, 1937, Murray was the only child of Max and Hortense Rulney. As the son of a Naval doctor, Murray lived in many places around the United States but thought of Flint, MI as his hometown. Murray was a graduate of Central High School and Eastern Michigan University. After moving to Tucson in 1972, Murray spent most of his professional career as a real estate appraiser. Upon his retirement, he enjoyed playing table tennis and spending time with close friends and family. He was an incredible father and grandfather as well as a generous and loving friend. His warmth and humor will be sincerely missed. Murray is preceded in death by his daughter, Melynda. Murray is survived by his sons, Ross (Lisa) and Jason (Michelle); his grandchildren, Erica, Kayleigh, Jarrod, Ethan, and Joshua; and his first wife and dear friend, Marsha Rulney-Silverman. Graveside service will be held 9:00 a.m., Friday, May 8, 2015 at Evergreen Cemetery, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent on behalf of Murray to Peppi’s House hospice, 5301 E Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ 85712.
