Nellie Jo has been my friend for most of my adult life. We met in Western Civilization class at Seton Hill College in the summer of 1959. We were "baby teachers" together and taught together in the junior high department at Our Mother of Sorrows School for six or seven years. My mother and I visited with her when was a principal in Atlanta. While she was in the Tucson area Nellie joined me and my family for many a holiday. While she was in Glendale, we still managed to visit back and forth quite a bit until the last few year when contacts became fewer and fewer. She was a faithful friend, a terrific ballroom dancer,
a wonderful, generous lady, and a dedicated educator. She has been, and always will be my dear friend and she will be in my prayers. My heartfelt condolences go her stepmom, her sisters and the rest of her family.
