I only got to know one of my uncles, but thank God, it was the right one! I always felt so loved and welcomed in my uncle’s presence. We so enjoyed our visits with him when we would come to Tucson. He was always into some project or filing a complaint to right a wrong. He certainly had spunk and the tenacity of a pit bull - and I mean that in a good way! Although his body started giving out, he always looked so much younger than his years. His whole family is hoping we are the lucky beneficiaries of those youthful Ravashiere genes! Uncle Nicky had a heart of gold! He was kind, intelligent, generous, energetic, resourceful, inquisitive, and responsible. We’ve all been very fortunate to inherit so many of his admirable qualities which will continue to be passed on for many generations to come. What greater legacy could Nicky have had? How blessed are we to have had Nicky Ravashiere in our lives as our uncle, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. And how blessed was he to be so loved and supported by generations of his family and friends! He will be dearly missed but never forgotten!
