I was privileged to work with Norma for many years at the Tucson Visitors Center, where she and Abe were treasured volunteers.
One of my treasured memories of Norma was watching her along with Abe synchronize their calendars for the week ahead.
It was fascinating to observe them juggling their many interests; whether it was music, dancing, movies ,lectures, travel, photography and restaurants…watching and listening to them plan which events they could squeeze into one week amazed me, especially as these activities were planned around their many volunteer, family and community commitments.
Norma embodied the catch phrase carpe diem…she was a marvel.
I learned so much about living life to the fullest from Norma and her darling Abe.
She indeed, lived life to its fullest, and we were all imprinted with the zest and joy of life she embodied.
Norma and Abe were a gift to my life, and I am forever grateful to them.
My sincere condolences to all the family
